ALL ASIA CUP 2008

All Asia Cup 2008, previously known as the Merlion Championship, is an annual Rowing event that has attracted hundreds of rowers from all over Asia to compete against each other. Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, DPR Korea, Kazakhstan, Iran, India, and Sri Lanka were the countries that were part of the Merlion Championships for the past 13 years. Not forgetting our very own rowers from Singapore who have not only represented the nation with pride and glory but also be amongst the best few rowers Asia has to offer.

This year, YOU can be part of this exciting event (and you dont have to be a rower!). In line with the Youth Olympic Games 2010, The Singapore Rowing Association (SRA) aims to introduce the sport of Rowing to the masses. There will be fringe events held along Pandan Reservoir, near Teban Gardens, from the 23rd to 24th of August 2008.

Various events are lined up for everyone!

If you're the sporty type, participate in our Machine Rowing competition and stand a chance to win exciting prizes!

Give your children or younger siblings a chance to express their creativity. Register them for the Drawing competition and who knows his or her masterpiece might be hung up on the walls of our Rowing Centre!

And the best part is, registration is FREE!

Perhaps, you're just searching for something to do during the weekend, bring along your friends and family to catch this rare opportunity to watch the races! Watch as boats battle out each other to be the first to reach the finishing line.

Fret not about the hot, sunny weather or rainy days. We have shelters set up along the event area and there are stalls selling drinks and food to quench your thirst and fill your tummy!

Once again, ALL ASIA CUP 2008 will be held at Pandan Reservoir on the 23rd and 24th of August 2008 from the morning till evening!

SEE YOU THERE! :)
